Blackout Cities is a visual project that combines architecture, photography and illustration to produce unique visions of urban sceneries. The excessive and exclusive use of black, the strong composition as well as the absence of human presence, generate the obscure atmosphere that characterize thes hand-drawings. The first series of Blackout Cities focuses on the German Capital. The project is both a documentation of urban space and its structure and a visual interpretation of its effect on the viewer.
