Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that uses the sun to produce a cyan-blue print. The process is simple yet incredibly diverse, lending itself easily to experimentation.
Participants will learn both the basics of the process and experimental techniques. Those who complete the workshop will learn to print traditional cyanotype photograms, toned and manipulated cyanotype photograms, and cyanotypes from a photographic negative.
We’re offering the workshop on two separate days: Friday, Aug. 17th or Saturday, Aug. 18th
– All materials are included: chemistry, paper,
and a digital negative made from a photograph of your choice. We’ll also provide lunch. :]
– Participants must provide a digital image before the first day of the workshop via email if they intend to print also a photographic image (A4 or smaller, at 360ppi – we can assist you with this if needed)
